I find myself getting tired of all of the hype on TV and in magazines. Who says that you have to change everything about yourself, get skinny and look the way these people look? Yes, it's important to be healthy and to stay fit. But that doesn't mean that you need to starve yourself or be miserable all the time.
Our job here is to help you to look your best - while also feeling good about who YOU are. You don't have to squeeze into those size 4 jeans. At the same time, you don't have to walk around feeling junky and wearing baggy sweatshirts all the time. There is a happy medium and you have the right (and the privilege) of learning ways to look like a million bucks with the body you've got now.
Here's the first tip for the day. Go to the beauty store and see if you can find a simple mascara, eye shadow and lipstick that you like. Splurge on these three items and start using them everyday. Even if you never wear makeup, you'll find that you look better with just a dab of lipstick and a little bit of eye shadow. And these items are hard to mess up. If you have the time and money, you could even have someone show you how to put them on. Most department stores have sales people who will help to teach you these skills, assuming that you plan to buy their products.
Start small and then we will slowly build up to creating a beautiful YOU with what you've already got. Sounds like fun, no?
